This is a color 4.2 inch e-paper display with 400x300 resolution, 24 pins FPC connection, optional FPC connector, communicating via SPI interface, with embedded controller(COG package) and on-chip stored waveform, supports black, white and red. It's IC is UC8276. The I2C signal master interface to read built-in temperature sensor.
In view of so many advantages: ultra low power consumption, near 180 degree view angle, readable under sunlight, GDEH042Z21 is a very good choice for applications like shelf label, smart tags, smart home application, industrial instrument, smart cards and other related products.
This Development Kit designed for SPI E-paper Display aims to help users to begin constructing our e-paper display with provided source code to create more differentiated solutions. And it is added the functions of USB serial port and LED indicator light ect. It also supports being updated by computer directly.
Note: All of 3-color epaper doesn't support partial refresh.

We have two types of 4.2 inch red e-paper: GDEH042Z21 and GDEH042Z96. The main differences between the twos are:
1, the shape of FPC is different
2, Different IC Driver
The IC of the GDEH042Z96 is SSD1619, and the IC of GDEH042Z21 is UC8276.
